Cheliel is an ethical store concept that combines African tradition and modernity. It was created by Stéphane André Pierre Diène (Stefdekarda), who specialises in photography and infographics, and his sister Angélique Marguerite Berthe Diène, a business mind with a background in corporate management.
As a tribute to the African continent, the concept store offers clothes, accessories and shoes that are made using African fabrics such as batik, woven fabric and recycled textiles. Recently, the company offers the Cheliel Coffret which is an assortment of 5 to 6 products, in limited edition, and allows to discover the treasures of the Afro-Caribbean and Quebec worlds. Cheliel gives back by donating part of its profits. It also lessens the environmental impact of manufacture by capitalising on discarded textiles.
