About us

Boost, support and accelerate the development of cultural and creative industries

La Piscine is interested in models associated with the creative experience conveyed through determinants such as performance, physical objects, or digital platforms. At the intersection of art, design, and technology, it is available to Montreal’s next stars of the stage production, augmented literature, video games, design, architecture, advertising, crafts, fashion, culinary arts, audiovisual or new media. More broadly, it also wants to drive innovation within existing companies by strengthening the culture and entrepreneurial skills.

La Piscine serves a community of entrepreneurs, allowing them to strengthen their ability to generate economic and social value through their creative enterprise. Its objective is to catalyze the emergence, development, and success of companies and organizations in the cultural and creative industries sector.

La Piscine aims to host and support entrepreneurial projects by structuring and animating a value network (expertise, mentoring, financing, market access). The organizational model of the incubator itself is built around the Lean Startup philosophy: constant experimentation and adaption to the external environment to which its members will be confronted. Its success is organized around the following elements: people, learning ability, agility, openness, strategic partnerships.

La Piscine seeks to establish a rich environment of cross-pollination between creatives, technologists, students, entrepreneurs, underground communities and industry leaders. Its approach to promoting multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit enables an economic valorization of creativity. In doing so, it helps bridge the proverbial divide between artistic creation and economic sustainability.
