Nothing says December like artificial intelligence! In the Quartier de l’Innovation at least…

Artificial intelligence was a hot topic in the Quebec media this fall. With the major investments by large international companies in Montréal, and the many research and development efforts of our universities, we can now confidently say that this city is an AI expert! For this reason, we’ve teamed up with industry partners and major stakeholders to bring you an artificial intelligence-filled December.

Thursday December 7 : Mat'Inno Conference: Ethics and Artificial Intelligence

AI technology and its abilities are developing at lightning speed, but legal and ethical issues remain unresolved for the general population. What do these advances mean for our health and for the common good? How do we protect privacy when access to information is essential to the development of artificial intelligence? Professors Jackie Chi Kit Cheung (McGill University) and Christian Desrosiers (École de technologie supérieure) discuss the issue over a Mat’Inno breakfast seminar organized in collaboration with the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montréal (JCCM).

Tuesday, December 12 : QI_Connexion - Client: IBwave

Ten startups will have the chance to present a solution that uses artificial intelligence to iBwave, a company that creates great in-building wireless experiences, to improve its marketing, product development, network analysis tools, and customer assistance. It’s an excellent opportunity to discuss the subject of the moment with the crème de la crème of Montréal’s business community!
