The Quartier de l’innovation (QI), the Université de Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and C2 Montréal announced the program of the 7th Montréal Summit on innovation (MSI), to be held during the major conference C2 Montréal on May 23, 2018. Under the theme “Entrepreneurship + Social Impact: Growing Montréal’s Collaboration Potential,” the 2018 MSI will offer six new activities to entrepreneurs, university researchers and other innovation stakeholders in order to promote innovation in the city. In addition, thanks to the Summit, key players in social innovation will benefit from privileged access to the international creativity gathering that is C2 Montréal. Passes are now on sale.
The goal of the MSI is to give attendees collaboration experiences, to foster cooperation among stakeholders, and to alter certain practices in order to tear down existing barriers and generate the maximum social impact. In general, it aims to help new ideas emerge, to provoke interactions, and to find potential solutions to specific issues while drawing on the best international practices.
A day devoted to transformation
This day is in line with C2 Montréal’s 2018 theme of “Transformative Collisions.” MSI participants are invited to take part in a complete program with several components.
The day will begin with a breakfast seminar presented by the City of Montreal and hosted by Les Affaires newspaper columnist Diane Bérard, during which three inspiring collaborative projects will be presented. Two workshops based on active participation will then follow. Braindate debates exploring ten current issues are also planned, as well as a “conversation market,” where the subject discussed will relate to the theme of “Impact: Expanding our Positive Effect.” The MSI will close with interactive encounters and a cocktail reception.
